Certified yoga teacher, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist and Reiki Master; Joy has been teaching for 15 years and offers workshops in joyyoga throughout the US. She brings in depth knowledge of body mechanics and introduces her students to the notion that there is “nothing to get right” and “everything to discover and explore”.

Conducted in the comfort and convenience of your own home, these deeply nurturing one on one sessions will cater to your unique needs - mind, body, spirit and beyond.

Holding the space of inner directed awareness, we begin with a combination of deep relaxation, body sensing movement, inner body breathing and traction stretches to relax the muscles and create more space in the joints. Now the body is ready to discover new ways to move which will increase the ease and range of motion in the joints and spine. To assist the body and mind in integrating the new information, we complete the process with a deeply relaxing meditation.

This is Yoga at its therapeutic best.

The Sages have long said that the most effective means for bringing about change are Continuity and Repetition.

Class Tips:

  • Wear comfortable clothes that will allow you free movement
  • Dress in layers and avoid buttons, zippers, and large jewelry
  • Be able to have bare feet.
  • Come with an empty stomach or eat lightly up to two hours before class.
  • Bring a yoga mat (if you have one), a blanket or large towel and socks.
  • Tell your teacher about any concerns you have and current injuries.
